SEMMCHRA Releases a 2026 Goodhue County Housing Trust Fund RFP

In partnership with Goodhue County, the Southeastern Minnesota Multi-County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (SEMMCHRA) has released a Goodhue County Housing Trust Fund RFP. Through investment locally, there is $500,000 available to disperse to local affordable housing providers and developers. Funds can be issued as grants or loans for new construction or rehabilitation and are intended to be used as a source of leverage in the housing project to unlock additional funding. SEMMCHRA will be accepting applications now through April 15, 2026.

Notice of Public Hearing-PHA 2026 Annual Plan, Capital Fund 5 Yr. Action Plan ACOP and Admin Plans

A public hearing will be conducted by the Board of the Southeastern Minnesota Multi-County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (SEMMCHRA) in Wabasha, Minnesota, on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at approximately 10:05 am at the SEMMCHRA office located at 134 2nd Street East, Wabasha MN and via GoTo Meeting.

The purpose of this meeting is to review the Fiscal Year 2026 Annual Plan, the Capital Fund Program (CFP) 5-year Action Plan, ADMIN and ACOP Plans developed in compliance with the Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act of 1998.

Alliance Bank Awards Grant to SEMMCHRA

Alliance Bank is honored to award a Member Impact Fund grant to Southeastern Minnesota Multi-County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (SEMMCHRA)! On July 15, 2025, Alliance Bank representatives Brent Meincke and Wade Carlson presented a check to SEMMCHRA representative Buffy Beranek.

This grant will aid SEMMCHRA’s housing objective to provide affordable, decent, safe and sanitary housing to citizens residing

in our service area. Congratulations SEMMCHRA!

Modernization Act) and NSPIRE (National Standards for the Physical Inspection
of Real Estate) will be implemented, as well as planned

SEMMCHRA programs, including the Section 8 Voucher program, are NOT expected to be impacted by the recent OMB memorandum (M-25-13) which advises federal agencies, which SEMMCHRA is not a Federal agency, that they must temporarily pause activities and disbursements.  If any SEMMCHRA programs are impacted in the future, SEMMCHRA will notify participants directly

SEMMCHRA Releases 2025 Housing Trust Fund RFPs

In partnership with Goodhue, Wabasha, and Winona counties, SEMMCHRA is excited to release its 2025 Housing Trust Fund Request for Proposals (RFP). Through participating county’s local investment of funds and Statewide Affordable Housing Aid, SEMMCHRA aims to provide crucial leverage funding to local governments, nonprofits, and for-profit entities to promote the creation and preservation of affordable housing locally. Funding can be provided by grant or loan and must meet income requirements defined in the application.

SEMMCHRA will start accepting applications now through March 21, 2025. For more information and to find the applications, go to https://www.semmchra.org/housing-rehab/housing-trust-funds-rfps/. Notice of Public Sale

SEMMCHRA will have a public sale on Friday August 23, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for surplus  property that will be sold by sealed bid.  Sealed bids will be opened the following Monday August 26, 2024 and the sales will be awarded to the highest bidder.
