Public Housing is a federal housing program that is funded through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). SEMMCHRA Public Housing includes Maple Grove Apartments in Wabasha, Minnesota, and 25 scattered site units located in Dodge, Goodhue and Wabasha Counties. Single, two, three and four-bedroom units are available to individuals and families at low and moderate-income levels. Residents are responsible to pay 30% of their income toward their rent.
Other Subsidized Housing
SEMMCHRA offers a variety of properties with rental assistance that is government-supported through either HUD or Rural Development. Rent is based on income and is available to families, individuals, seniors and people with disabilities.
Low to Moderate Income Housing
Several other SEMMCHRA properties are available to families with low to moderate income. They are townhome communities located in Goodhue, Dodge and Winona counties. Rents are set below market- rate, and Section 8 Rental Assistance is accepted.
Market Rate Housing
These are properties with rents based on the going rate in the area market, and typically have additional amenities. SEMMCHRA’s market rate properties include apartments exclusively for those 62 and over, as well as townhome communities for individuals, families, and those 55 and over, in Goodhue, Wabasha, and Winona Counties.
